Shatter Me Book Review

Shatter Me - Tahereh Mafi

I ended up really enjoying Shatter Me, I kept going back and forth for a while but the second half was much better than the first. Mainly because there's less of the crossed out sentences, which proved to be incredibly annoying. The writing does need improvement - too many odd metaphors that didn't make sense and too much of the repetitive words, but overall I really enjoyed the characters and the story line. Keep in mind, it's a romance before it's a Dystopian.

Juliette has been in jail, held by the Reestablishment, not seeing a single person for over 200 days. Her touch is deadly. Her captor, Warner wants her to join him, to work together. Juliette starts to feel like she has no choice, but then Adam appears, a boy in her cell. A boy she once knew.

I hated Warner, so, so much - as we're supposed to. But I loved Juliette and Adam together and I think this series is only going to get better. I do see why it has many negative reviews. But, expecting the romance in it, I really enjoyed it and am expecting a lot from the next two books.
