Memoirs of an Imaginary Friend Book Review

Memoirs Of An Imaginary Friend - Matthew Green

I actually recieved this lovely book as a gift. And I'm really glad I did because I never would have read it. Definitely enjoyable and a really cool and unique story told in the point of view of an imaginary friend.

Budo is Max's imaginary friend. Max is a young boy diagnosed with Asperger's. Through Budo we learn Max's do's and don't's and what makes him ticks. Budo's greatest fear is that Max will one day not believe in him. When Max disappears that fear becomes even more.

Budo and Max's relationship is really a treasure to read about. As someone who has a sibling with Asberger's I really related to this story and this relationship. The author does an excellent job in depicting someone who is autistic. All their little quirks and socially awkward lives.

I will absolutely be recommending this to patrons and friends. A fun and fast paced read.
