I have a love/hate relationship with these books. They are definitely addicting and I can honestly see why people like them. But, that being said, they're extremely repetitive, Ana goes in circles constantly (talk about an annoying character there), the writing is pretty terrible and the similarities to Twilight are almost too obvious. But, there's something that keeps bringing me back to reading the entire series....
Ana and Christian want to move their relationship on to the next level. But when Layla, a dangerous ex of Christian comes into play both their lives could be in danger as well as Christian's BDSM life coming out to open.
Again, much, much better than book one. There aren't as many "Oh my's" or Ana blushing constantly. The inner goddess and subconscious point of views are just awful - the book would be so much better without them.
Spoilery! Seriously, getting married already?? Knowing each other for barely three months. Yea, I laughed a lot at that one. Again, the similarities to Twilight. I like this book more because it really isn't about a BDSM relationship, its much more about a man trying to get over his abusive and neglected past.
We really learned a lot about Christian in this book and I don't hate him as much as I did in the first one. He's definitely not the type of man I would ever want a relationship with like some of my friends, but I can at least understand now way he is the way he is.
And with another cliffhanger of an ending I am even looking forward to listening to the last one. I hear its the best one with the best plot. So, we'll see.
