Oddly Normal Book Review

Oddly Normal Book 1 - Otis Frampton, Otis Frampton

A short but quite profound graphic novel for elementary and middle school reader's. Funny, meaningful and filled with brightly colored pictures, Oddly Normal delivers everything I want in this type of graphic novel.

Oddly Normal is half witch half girl. In the normal world she is constantly made fun of, called names of all sorts. But when a strange spell occurs she winds up in Fignation where creatures of all sorts live. She finally thinks its a place where she will fit in. But there are bullies there as well. She wonder's if she'll ever find a place where she belongs.

Perfect for middle school students. Because I know when I was in middle school I had a really hard time fitting in just like Oddly Normal.

My favorite part about Oddly Normal was that it leaves on a cliffhanger. I will definitely be reading the next one, especially since it takes about 30 minutes to get through.
