Kiss of Deception Book Review

The Kiss of Deception - Mary E. Pearson

Meh. Long and tedious to read. Too much involvement on the love triangle and less so on the fantasy. It's about 400 some pages that could easily be cut in half. In other words, I was bored half way through and found myself the same even in the end.

Lia has finally run away. On the night of her wedding. With her maid and friend Penelope. The two find a town to live in and become servers in a new world for Lia. There they meet Rafe and Kaden. The two seem to have a special interest in Lia. With a secret document and a bounty on her head Lia has to be more careful than ever.

If this book had focused less on the love triangle it would have been fantastic. But even the "cliffhanger" was the triangle. Boring, unoriginal. And not my thing. Haven't decided if I'll read the next one.
