The Heir Book Review

The Heir - Kiera Cass

Talk about an awful "protagonist." I could not stand Edalyn at all. She was insufferable, rude, self-centered, and pretty much a bitch. Not a whole lot happens in the book, but that's pretty similar for the first three selection novels. But at least in those, I could stand the main character as well as liking Maxon.

Eadlyn is poised to be the next Queen, against her will. If she was born seven minutes later than her twin, Ehran it wouldn't have been her. And now, her parents have forced her to be a part of the first ever female run selection to give their people something to celebrate. All Eadlyn wants is to be on her own.

Ugh, Eadlyn. I can't say I enjoyed many of the boys either. I just wish we had some action at least, like in the first three. But the closest we got to that was some food being thrown at our precious Queen in running, and a boy touching her hair when she didn't want him too. Can I punch her now?

And there's a cliffhanger of course. So we don't even know who she chooses which is why I kept listening to it in the first place. And, because these are somewhat addicting I'll probably listen to the next one.
