DNF at halfway point...
Man, I really wanted to like this book, but I just couldn't do it. Every time I went to pick it up I felt extremely bored and disconnected with the characters. All four of them. I think, for me, the issue is that each character has maybe two pages (and sometimes less) a chapter. So, if I did get interested the author immediately switched scenes.
I love WWII stories generally so I was looking forward to this. But it's more of a long journey, and not a very exciting one.
I have not read anything else by this author. I'm debating if I'm going to try or not.
