The Fever Code Book Review

The Fever Code (Maze Runner, Book Five; Prequel) (The Maze Runner Series) - James Dashner

This certainly wasn't bad but I think I've had just about enough of the Maze Runner series. I love the idea and the characters but to a point, enough is enough.

We see Thomas, Theresa and friends before the maze was made. What secrets do we not know about Wicked and their creation of the maze. How were Thomas and Theresa really involved? What exactly does the maze do?

I think we learned a lot but it still left out a lot of questions. I loved seeing Thomas and Theresa as young children, in fact, I think that was my favorite part about this new maze runner book. It was also interesting to see how the other characters came into play before being sent into the maze.

James Dashner is really good with action and science fiction. I don't think he's as strong with characterization. He creates exciting worlds and back to back action scenes but not a lot beyond that.

A fun read and look into how the maze was made. I think most fans of this series will really enjoy this one.
