YA Fanatic

Okay, so I love this book.

That being said, I listened to it. And I really think that makes all the difference for this type of book. It's full of Latin, Italian, Czech, and several other languages throughout. Because of that, actually reading it is probably difficult, tedious, and maybe even a little boring.

The reader, however, did a brilliant job with all the different languages. Reading them smoothly and clearly. Making me marvel at her talent of accents and speaking ability.

The plot: It's pretty much Da Vinci Code meets teens of the YA genre. Nora and her friends, Chris, Max, and Adrianne start out as students involved in a research project. Max trying to get credit for college, Nora working through high school. Nora's world is turned upside down. Her best friend Chris is found dead. Adrianne by his side having no idea what happened. They are sent on a wild wind adventure to find out why, what happened? They end up in Prague fighting off cult groups, researching and looking for clues when Eli shows up (Chris's suppose long lost cousin.) All the while not knowing who they can trust (though, I easily guessed who we were supposed to trust and who not to)and what secrets really lie beneath.

It's a bloody, detailed, and very in depth story with long descriptive sentences. If you don't like books that pay every little attention to detail, you might find this one hard to finish. Again, I can not reiterate enough that this is a book that is thoroughly enjoyably if you listen to it.
