Well, I certainly enjoyed this book much more than Cryers Cross (which I thought was just awful).
At the young age of 7, Ethan is abducted and taken care of by a woman (Ellen) until much later in his years abandoned at a boys home. At the age 16 he runs away and finds his family, the De Wilde family. Things are different though with a little sister, Gracie, and a disgruntled brother, Blake. Ethan just wants things to be normal again, and most of all, he wants to remember.
Dead To You brings up difficult family situations. Mainly through the brother, Blake. I do wish there was more character development and background into what happened with Ellen (the women who "kidnapped" Ethan.)
Now the reason I give this four stars is because of the ending. It certainly leaves you hanging and is quite the shocker.
My issues with this book were the same as Cryers Cross: short and choppy sentences that I kept turning into complete sentences. However, its an excellent book for reluctant readers. Making it a quick and easy read for people who have trouble sitting down reading long and difficult books.
Kept me thoroughly entertained throughout and shocked at the ending. It is quite an exciting tale for Ethan.
