Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children - Ransom Riggs Bizarre. That's really the only way I can describe this book. Now I did listen to it. And it's probably a book more enjoyable to read since it has some very cool creepy pictures throughout. Which I did look at after every time I drove just to get an essence of them.

However, the plot was decent and just fell flat for me. Jacob witnesses his fathers death and is deeply affected, convinced he's seeing creatures. His fathers last words told him to visit an island. Which he does so and finds peculiar children. From time looping, to people changing into animals and more. The book would have been much more interesting to me if it focused on what happened to the father and the creatures haunting the area instead of the odd children and bizzare happening.

A decent idea just turned odd. Definitely disappointed.
