Very well written. Written as a letter from Matt to his youngest sister, Emmy. Three children trying to take care of each other while living under the roof of an insane mother. Not physically abusive, but insane. The letter format rather threw me off in Captive by Lucy Christopher. But with this book it really fits and I think its just because its much better written. I really liked and hated characters. Everything seemed believable (unfortunately common in today's society).

Very happy with how the story ended and the characters came through for each other. It's a quick read and really makes you think about what you should be thankful for having in life.
