Red at Night Book Review

Red at Night - Katie McGarry

I'm one of those people who love Katie McGarry. She's definitely not for everyone though. If you like teen angst and contemporary romance I highly recommend her.

Stella is poor and a loner at school. She's been made fun of since elementary school. With her dad always gone, finding herself living with one of his girlfriends. To get away she finds her self constantly at the local graveyard.

Jonah is rich and part of the in crowd at school. His friends have always made fun of Stella. When he's in a serious, deathly car accident he finds himself going to the graveyard running into Stella.

Both are fighting off their past demons and Jonah is trying to gain Stella's trust. The two try to create a friendship but with everything involved in their past it becomes difficult.

Red of Night is a novella, short - about 100 pages. It's enjoyable with likable characters you easily get to know in such a short book. McGarry is excellent at making characters relatable. If you loved the Pushing the Limits series, Red at Night will be a perfect book for you. Plus there's a sneak peak to her new book coming out this summer!
