This is a little late in posting this but I've had these bookish goals in mind since January so I figured I should go ahead and put them in writing!
1. Read and listen to more middle grade novels.
As a librarian, currently just working the refernce desk, I find it vital to know all sorts of genres. I do want to eventually be doing programming for children, so reading middle grade will broaden my horizon! I've read a few fun ones already, such as, Bird, Found, and The Crowfields Curse.
2. Read more non-fiction books.
This is something I just haven't done. I'm looking to read anything from history books, memoirs, biography's to funny stories and poetry. Definitely looking forward to finding something new and interesting.
3. Be up to date on new books!
No matter the genre or age level! I want to read them all. We have a new book shelf for each genre at my library so that will be an easy way to keep track of books coming in monthly.
4. Write my own book.
This is going to be the hardest book goal this year. I'm currently writing a young adult book and really want to have it done by the end of the summer really (the first manuscript anyhow) Wish me luck!
What were are your bookish goals for this year? Have you been having good progress with them?
Happy Reading!!
