Laini Taylor has written a sucker punch of a series. Every sentence, word, and character is written brilliantly and beautifully. That's something that is really hard to come by. Though, I'm not 100% thrilled with the ending, I'm happy enough with it and glad to have discovered another wonderful young adult series.
The angels have fallen and the apocalypse is coming. It's up to Karou and Akiva to work side by side again, politically battling Jyell's angels. They have put their differences aside to do anything they can to make sure humans, chimera's and seraph's don't get injured.
This is a long one. Especially to listen to - it definitely took me forever, and I'll admit there were moments that I was really ready for it to just end. But, between Suzanna, Mik, Akiva, and Karou the characters are easy enough to fall in love with. Getting to see how each story ends is wonderful as well. I can't wait to read anything else written by Taylor in the future.
Audio Book: By far my favorite series to listen to. It amazes me how well the reader was able to pull off several accents, tones, and emotions throughout the entire series. I'm definitely going to look into the reader and see if she has done any other audio books.
