I love Jennifer L. Armentrout, especially the Lux series by Cursed is just not my cup of tea. I've never been one for post outer body experience after car crash type books and this one falls under that. I was hoping for a little bit more since I've loved all of Armentrout's other books.
Ember died in the car crash that killed her father and left her mother estrange. But her sister, Olivia brought her back and now if she touches someone they die. When she meets Hayden Cromwell her life changes forever. Everything she has known is uprooted and nothing is what it seems to be.
Ugh, the biggest thing that annoyed me about this book is the way Ember handled the entire beginning plot. The Cromwell's up and move her entire life, astray her best friend and she practically feels nothing about it. Especially about her best friend (who, mind you, I was really starting to like). Hello, I'd be freaking out a little.
And because of that the entire book bugged me quite a bit. I did like certain scenes and plot lines. But for the most part, I wanted to smack Ember and put some sense in her.
