If you get past the fact that there is only a plot because three teenagers do the stupidest thing they could possibly do this book isn't half bad. It lacks a little in description and certainly doesn't have the best writing. But its unique and a rather interesting storyline.
Cooper, Hiro, and Gordy find themselves at their usual hangout, Frank N' Steins. They never expect themselves to become witness to the owners murder and robbery of his store. When one of the convicts threatens Cooper and his family they know they must keep secret and create The Code of Silence. But how long will they be able to keep it up.
The only character I found myself liking was the girl, Hiro. Mainly because she's the only one smart enough to see that what they're doing is dumb. Much of this book is the three kids trying to figure out whether or not they should tell. I was hoping for as much action as we got in the first few chapters - which are quite exciting.
There are apparently two more in this series, which doesn't really make sense because everything is pretty much solved and closed at the end. I probably won't continue on because I have no desire to see what more is done with these characters.
